Maine Road Signs

Road signs change a bit when you venture off the beaten path. In spite of the directions on this sign, I didn’t find Oxbrook (it’s one word) Lake. I have no sense of direction other than up and down.

These signs are contradictory but even in my directionally deprived brain, I’d go left if I were on a snowmobile.

For your safety and that of the heavy equipment operators and truck drivers, obey this sign. Logging trucks are heavy and don’t stop quickly even at slow speeds if they find you on the road.

It’s a good thing I know which way to go to get to where I want to be.

Show some respect. You should never have to be told “don’t shoot signs.”

Mile markers are a little different out here. They don’t reflect in headlights and they’re not on steel posts. They work just as well!
